“Both, Either ve Neither” sıfatları sayılabilir isimlerle kullanılır. Her zaman iki şey hakkında konuşurken kullanılırlar.
“Both” hem bir isimle hem de tek başına kullanılır ve daima çoğul bir fiil alır.
“Both” cümlenin farklı yerlerinde kullanılabilir. Fiiller yine çoğuldur.
· Both Mike and Jim have a car./Mike and Jim both have a car[A4]
· The students have both done their homework[A5] . (yardımcı fiilden sonra)
· They can both come here. [A6] (modal tardımcı fiilerden sonra)
“Both” kelimesi “of” ile tamlama oluşturabilir.
· Both of my sisters are doctors. = Both my sisters are doctors[A8]
· She has eaten both of my apples = She has eaten both my apples[A9]

· Both of them were arrested = Both them They were both arrested.[A10]
· I invite both of you. = I invite you both. both you[A11]
“Either ve Neither” iki şeyden bahseder. “either” kelimesi “one or the other” “ biri ya da diğeri” anlamında kullanılır. “neither” kelimesi “ not one and not the other” “ ne bu ne de diğeri değil” anlamında kullanılır ve biraz daha vurgusal anlama sahiptir. Fiil her zaman tekildir.

“Either ve Neither” kelimeleri “of” ile kullanılabilir. Fiil tekil ya da çoğul olabilir. “neither” olumsuzluk anlamı verir ve fiillin tekrar olumsuz yapılması gerekmez.

· You can’t have either of them (onu ya da diğerini alamazsın. / Hiçbirini alamazsın)
· You can’t have both of them. ( her ikisini alamazsın sadece birini alabilirsin)

You don’t need of after both. So you can say:
· Both my parents are from London. or Both of my parents….
